VFW post plans Memorial Day ceremonies, picnic

After a two-year hiatus, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3783 and its Auxiliary will hold three Memorial Day ceremonies and a community picnic on Monday, May 30.

A 10 a.m. Memorial Day ceremony will be held at Nuevo Gardens Cemetery, 562 Ash St.

At 11 a.m., a ceremony will be held at the World War II memorial at the parking lot corner of the Ramona Unified School District office at 720 Ninth St. Another ceremony will be held at noon at the Vietnam Veteran Memorial at Schwaesdall Winery at 17677 Rancho De Oro Drive, off state Route 67.

A community picnic will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the VFW Post 3783, 2247 Kelly Ave. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
