San Diego Gas & Electric will follow the Wildfire Mitigation & Resiliency Open House it held in Ramona in June with a Wildfire Mitigation & Resiliency Fair on Saturday, Aug. 24.
The fair will be in Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Lane, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The family-friendly event will include representatives from Cal Fire, the forest service, Community Emergency Response Team and other industry experts.
SDG&E will present information about public safety power shutoffs and how to be prepared for emergencies. Those attending will receive information about stocking an emergency kit, developing an emergency plan, and designing or modifying the space around their home to resist wildfire. They also can speak to the utility’s Meteorology and Fire Science and Climate Adaptation team about what SDG&E is doing to keep the region safe.
SDG&E employees will be there to provide information about outage notification sign-ups, the medical baseline program, time-of-use pricing plans, the level pay program, assistance programs, energy-efficiency programs, environmental services, vegetation management, infrastructure projects and construction, engineering, emergency management and aviation services.
