Event Details

by Cindy Price, February 20, 2019:

Soroptimist International of Ramona invites the community to see what we are all about and find out what the telltale signs of HT (human trafficking) are so parents can be aware of the telltale signs in case your child or someone they know fall prey to these perpetrators.

Does the child seem distant or are they are hanging out with a much older person than their normal age group?

The traffickers seek out children as young as grammar, middle and high school age, especially if they are shy, seeking acceptance and have low self-esteem.

We encourage you to come and join us on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Ramona Town Hall’s East Wing, 729 Main St., for this special program to find out more and see how we can help in the fight.

Active STAT guest speakers (Soroptimist Together Against Human Trafficking) in San Diego County — Pam Warnock and Lynn Flanigan — will convey how we are helping some victims survive and how our kids can avoid situations and be aware of how this trade is secretly infiltrating our communities and world.

Refreshments will be served. To RSVP, call or text Cindy Price at 619-991-0476.
