The Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project will hold a dedication ceremony for its mural “Ramona Reflections” at the Union Bank Branch at 1512 Main St., Ramona, on Tuesday, November 17, at 11:00 a.m. The artist will be available to sign photos of the mural. The public is invited.
The mural is a historical depiction of Main Street, Ramona, with the giant boots reflecting visitors to the bank and store in the background.
The artist, Gretchen Weidner, is a muralist, commissioned painter, and licensed artist in Southern California. She arrived in San Diego in 2014 and paints her art on San Diego walls of public and private businesses. She has worked with small and large business owners, private clients and firms, to design and create memorable and inspiring murals. Her series and collections are available for purchase on prints, apparel and home goods, as well as the original paintings if available. Visit gretchenweidner.com.
As with all Ramona mural projects, you’ll be challenged to discover the “heart” icons in a “Where’s Waldo” exercise. The artist has hidden three in the “Ramona Reflections” mural.
Donations to help pay for the mural projects can be made on the website at ramonamurals.com. Donations of $100 or more will be listed on the website and on a plaque on the building. The Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
Reminder: please wear a mask and observe social distancing while viewing the mural.
