Barn Raising-Volunteers Needed!!!
Saturday, July 29th, 8:00 A.M. at Cornerstone Therapeutic Riding Center/Operations Saddle Up.
We are getting our newly renovated student lounge and office ready for use and need lots of help. We also need help getting the barn area cleaned up by knocking down the over growth and making our beautiful facility look awesome for the Wounded Service members who ride with us weekly and the children in Ramona who are here for therapy on horses every week.
Please call 760-788-2872 or PM me. Food and drinks will be provided 🙂
ornerstone Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals living with disabilities.
Cornerstone is proud to be serving our wounded warriors
returning from Iraq and Afghanistan that have lost limbs, have post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other war-related injuries and illnesses. Cornerstone’s OPERATION SADDLE UP works in a strategic partnership with San Diego Balboa Naval Hospital and the Armed Services YMCA and has provided over 500 lessons for our wounded warriors! The success of the program is best summed up by retired Staff Sgt. Mike…”This program literally saved my life.”
In addition to working with wounded warriors, Cornerstone also provides services to children and adults with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. We see our student’s reaching goals and achieving successes that they never thought were possible…the horses offer such an incredible gift to our clients!
Cornerstone is located at 25602 Tin Cup Dr. in Ramona, California, a 350 acre state-of-the-art equestrian facility that is home to over 100 horses, in addition to a herd of American Bison. Our facility is like no other in San Diego and offers our students many diverse opportunities. In addition to traditional therapeutic riding, we are able to offer a true ranch environment with abundant wildlife, large oak groves, access to hundreds of acres of trails and nature walks, in a peaceful and serene environment. Cornerstone’s unique environment enhances the therapeutic experience not only for our students, but for their families and our volunteers.
