California Department of Food & Agriculture will hold a community meeting titled “Learn About Virulent Newcastle Disease” at the Ramona Library Community Room, 1275 Main St., at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
The information meeting is geared to bird owners.
Cases of the disease have been detected in the area and are under a regional quarantine, states the meeting announcement.
“The community town hall meeting will provide information about the disease, about protecting your birds, methods to clean your property, what to expect in recovery and the current status of the outbreak,” the announcement said.
