Bring the family to hear a story about Smokey the Bear, talk with our firefighters about fire safety. Firefighters will also give a fire engine tour.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir of San Diego (MLKCCSD) has been invited to return to Ramona and perform a Concert on April 7 at 3:00pm. You are invited to come hear a lively soul invigorating Gospel Music performance and learn about the history of gospel music in America. First Congregational Church, 404 8th Street in Ramona is hosting this performance and inviting the community to come enjoy the music. The MLK choir was on tour in Washington DC this past September and past performances include 3 European concert tours and two appearances at Carnegie Hall. Come and experience this joyful hand-clapping, toe-tapping concert.
Now in their 21st season they perform under the direction of Ken Anderson, a Pastor and Director of the UCSD Gospel Choir and the Grossmont College Gospel Choir. The MLKCCSD is a non-profit charitable organization whose purpose is to raise funds which are distributed as SCHOLARSHIPS TO SAN DIEGO COUNTY GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WHO WILL MAJOR IN VISUAL OR PERFORMING ARTS (applications are available online).
The choir has performed locally for many Civic and Military events, Padre Games, Church Concerts, Private Parties and Weddings. The Choir’s main fundraising event is an annual “All About the Blues” concert at the Joan Kroc Theater in San Diego; this year it is on June 29. Listen, enjoy and dance to music performed by both emerging talent and popular San Diego performers. On April 13, 2019 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Ramona Rodeo Grounds, with FREE admission, you can dance along with headliner band, Ron’s Garage Band and Steal Dawn. This lineup will play a hot set of classic rock through the 90’s that will get you dancing and singing along. Local favorites, Flathead Sixx and Shirthouse Band will open with more classic and southern rock, country and bluegrass!
Come cheer on emerging local talent, as well as outstanding performers, and have a great day for the WHOLE family! FREE admission means you can bring the whole family and still have money available to enter and WIN great raffles and auctions. BEGINNING AT 9:00AM until 2:00PM, in the parking lot of the Ramona Outdoor Community Center, the Ramona VFW will host a COMMUNITY SWAP MEET. This is intended for community members to sell their used garage sale merchandise. It is FREE TO SHOP at the VFW COMMUNITY SWAP MEET!
